Operation Recognition is a non-profit, non-partisan group,
founded to deliver a long-overdue Thank-you! to our servicemen
and women. They risk their lives for our protection and well-being
and we believe they deserve a meaningful gesture of appreciation:
a week of R&R in Maine. We’re here to make it the
best possible experience these soldiers and their families
could ever imagine.
All Service and No Play…
From World War II veterans to the men and
women in active service today, all military personnel are
eligible to participate in Operation Recognition. As
our fledgling organization grows, we hope to be able to reach
out to as many families as possible.
At this time, Operation Recognition will be hosting families
at the Sheepscot Harbour Village & Resort in Edgecomb,
Maine. We are currently raising funds to acquire a Maine
property that will accommodate multiple families on retreat,
as well as support our ongoing
efforts with hosting families.
